How to change your windows password
On most Windows XP, 7 and 8 computers you can simply press CTRL+ALT+DEL and choose 'Change Password' in the bottom left.
If your computer doesn't support this (either because it ins't connected to a Domain or if it's running a 'Home' edition), one of the options below should do the trick.
Windows XP & Windows 7 home editions
- Click Start
- Control Panel
- Click on User Accounts
- Locate your account
- Click on 'Change the password'
Swipe in from the right edge of the screen, tap on 'Settings', then tap on 'Change PC settings'
(If you're using a mouse, point to the bottom-right corner of the screen, move the mouse pointer up, click Settings, then click Change PC settings.)
Tap or click 'Accounts', then tap or click Sign-in options.
Tap or click 'Change your password' and follow the instructions.
